The BMJ gives priority to articles reporting original, robust research studies that can improve decision making in medical practice, policy, education, or future research and will be important to general medical readers internationally. The BMJ welcomes studies that will aid the translation of knowledge and implementation of evidence into practice and policy, and is particularly interested in evaluations of the comparative effectiveness of interventions.
